Power for Asphalt Angel is supplied by a Buick V-6.
Ed rode Asphalt Angel all the way from Los Angeles to St.Paul, Minnesota, to the Street Rod Nationals but they turned him away because it wasn't based on a car that was originally built before 1949.
Ed also made a video of the building of the Asphalt Angel.
